Well, since I'm sick, I might as well update how Flying Wheels went on Saturday.

The course profile was 3800 ft of climbing, 100 mi of riding. To put this in perspective, 7 Hills of Kirkland was 7000 ft of climbing over the same distance, and STP is rumoured to be around 1900 ft of climbing over double the distance. With over 3300 people taking ( Read more... )

Tour de Redmond has started, so again... the commute challenge is on. This time I will be commuting the entire time, bar one or two days for recovery from Flying Wheels Century and the Seattle To Portland classic.

I'm not sure why the MapMyRide software can't pick up the extra climbing, but it doesn't.

Statistics:
MapMyRide - 7 Hills of Kirkland
Climbing: 7000+ ft of climbing according to the website. 4,400 ft of climbing according to MapMyRide. It felt more like 7000 ft and I know MapMyRide will not pick up the rolling hills in its counter.
